Starting your day right

I like to give my clients easy things to do that will make a difference to how they feel and how much energy they have. The thing that surprises them the most is my morning routine.

 

A very simple thing to add to your morning is to squeeze the juice of half a lime into a glass of water, and add 1/4 tsp of pink himalayan sea salt. 

 

The lime juice helps to alkaline your body, making it work better, and the minerals in the pink himalayan salt gives you energy. You can use any coloured salt, but the key is for it to be coloured - it's less refined, and has all the minerals intact, whereas white salt has had all of these goodies stripped from it.

 

If you like ginger you'll get an even bigger energy boost by adding a shot of ginger juice to the mixture. Ginger is anti-inflammatory, and will help to reduce inflammation from excess sugar, too many carbs, stress etc that many of us suffer from. When your body is less inflamed your energy levels dramatically increase.

 

Try it for a week and let me know how you feel. Most of my clients report feeling more alert and having more morning energy within a couple of days of adding this first thing in the morning.
